With an impressive 47 years in the maritime industry, Capt. Saleem A. Alvi has been a cornerstone of PetroMar for the past 22 years. Based in Houston, TX, Capt. Alvi brings a wealth of expertise in vessel operations, inspections, and loss control for oil, LPG, and chemical cargoes.
His career spans 11 years as a Master Mariner and 4 years as Chief Officer, sailing with major shipping companies before transitioning to shore-based leadership roles. As Manager of LPG/C at PetroMar, he plays a critical role in ensuring vessel readiness, compliance, and operational excellence. Fluent in English, German, Arabic, and Hindi, Capt. Alvi is a respected leader whose dedication continues to drive PetroMar’s success.
